NY Shoe Fashion Week

We all know the popular NY Fashion Week and how it has made headlines all around the world... now something even better to come for us shoe loves.  An actual shoe fashion week to be launched.  This news is not only exciting but it has me jumping up and down!  It is said to take place in September 2012... hey, that's just around the corner!  Wow ~ The world deserves a shoe fashion week... shoe is like art.  Many designers have launched so many fabulous shoe designs that sometimes it is truly hard to keep up.  Having a shoe fashion week where we can keep up with the latest and greatest shoe fashion is beyond wonderful... it is FANTABULOUS!  

No one likes to wear last years shoe design... or a design that may have expired more then 4 years ago.  The chunky heel.... the pointed toe or spikes and more... we have got to know what shoe trends are in, or out!  Most importantly it would help to know what shoe trends are coming back... so we know what shoes in our closets to keep and which ones should be donated. Right?  Are you with me on this one?  I know that we all have a favorite pair of shoes that we just can't throw away, even though we honestly need to,  I believe I am still holding on to a few precious pair that my dog chewed the heel of... but I still wear them because they are comfortable.  

Fashionable shoes are more then the look, but they are the comfort as well and not many people consider comfort when it comes to fashionable heels... not too many would put the words fashionable and comfort all in the same category... right?  I must admit, some shoe designs have me taken back a bit... I don't know if they are boots, peep toe heels or what... designers are getting creative but some are getting just down right outrageous with the design of shoes.  Bright and colorful heels are back in this summer.  Just the other day, I bought myself a pair of bright pink shoes... they were very bright...looks like a shoe you would find on your barbie doll.  However, that is what makes them special... I like wearing heels that are a bit out of the ordinary but yet still appropriate for work.  I asked my boss today what he thought of my bright colored heels and he used the word "FUN"!  I like that, wearing a pair of shoes to work that others consider fun is truly telling me that I am on the right track here.  With that being said, what are people saying about your selection of shoes?  What are your selection of shoes saying about you, is the real question.  In my next blog, I will talk about that a bit, how your shoes make a statement and we shall see if they are telling secrets that you don't want anyone to know...
