I must admit I go crazy for a fabulous pair of designer high heel shoes... however, I went out shopping this weekend and I must say I was very unhappy with what I saw to be Nine West new shoe trend. THE POINTED TOE SHOE! Not only was this shoe over $50 but it was so pointed and uncomfortable it was not attractive at all. I know that pointed toe shoes are coming back and this is the new trend in fashionable cities but honestly these shoes are not good for your feet. They can cause some serious injuries over the long term.
I can remember when I was little and my mom use to tell me a story about this aunt that she had that use to love wearing high heel shoes. Well in those days the only type of high heel shoe that was popular was the pointed toe shoe. Well this aunt wore these shoes day in and day out until one day my mom told me that when she actually took her shoes off... her feet were shaped just like a high heel shoe. My mom said she screamed to the top of her lungs and for many years because of this story and that aunt... I was not allowed to wear high heel shoes. It wasn't until I was in my late 20's early 30's that I started to wear high heels... and I did so with precaution. Even though to this day I can enjoy a fabulous pair of high heel shoes... In the back of my mind I am always thinking about my feet and how to keep them safe. So whatever chance I get, I take off my high heels and give my feet a rest.... I also sometimes carry a pair of flats with me just in case.
I am the first to talk about a fabulous pair of heels and would be the first to have them on my feet but I would never recommend shoes that are not safe for you.... each women and her feet is designed differently and I do not recommend wearing shoes that are not comfortable. Even though I have very few pointed toe shoes in my closet.... I do not recommend wearing these newly designed pointed toe shoes.... but you be the judge.
For those of you that buy them. Send me a review video so that others can see if this is the kind of shoe we would like to invest our time walking in.
